New Year, New Drinks at Starbucks

It's 2020 and that means that we need to start the new year off right! The best way I know how is by trying something new and excited, but sometimes new things can be scary so it's always nice to dip your toes in a little first. Well Starbucks has created some new twists on old favorites to make it easy to start trying new things!

Starbucks is introducing two NEW non-dairy beverages made with plant-based milk alternatives: The Almondmilk Honey Flat White and The Coconutmilk Latte.

The Almondmilk Honey Flat White combines ristretto shots of Starbucks Blonde Espresso with steamed almondmilk and a hint of honey, which creates a delightful twist on a beloved espresso classic.

The Coconutmilk Latte combines shots of Starbucks Blonde Espresso with steamed Coconutmilk. They also add a stripe of Cascare sugar topping which adds subtle notes of dark brown sugar and luscious maple after every sip.

Both of these delicious options will be added permanently to the already extensive drink roster at your local Starbucks.

Starbucks also wants to take steps to ensure people with dietary restrictions can still enjoy some delicious coffee so make sure to follow these Pro Tips:

-Select a non-dairy milk: Order your drink with soy beverage, almond beverage, or coconutmilk.
-Select a flavoured syrup: These are syrups that do not contain animal-derived ingredients: Vanilla, Caramel, Hazelnut.
-Hold items that contain dairy such as: Whipped cream, java chips, protein powder, caramel sauce (this is different than caramel syrup!)

These are just some options to look into next time you order your drink for people with dietary restrictions or even for those that want to change up their usual order.

Either way lets make 2020 a year where we try new things...and by new things I mean a year to try new coffees!
