50 Pound Project By Transcend

For those of you who have never heard of them before, Transcend is a coffee shop and roastery that started in 2006 with the dream of bringing a better understanding and appreciation of coffee to the Edmonton area. Over the past 11 years they have not only revolutionized coffee in Edmonton but have expanded across Canada, introducing the country to their wonderfully delicious coffee.

Over the last little while Transcend's Director of Coffee, Josh Hockin, has been working on a curated luxury coffee collection from Costa Rica. The projects goal is to work with coffee growers in Costa Rica that are doing an exceptional job on improving their harvests through innovation, and using this platform to shed a light on how much work goes in to improving the local farms, production processes, and overall coffee bean harvest that results in a high quality, fully traceable, rare coffee.

This 12-month luxury coffee collection is so exclusive that only 50 pounds of each coffee will be made (hence the name 50 pound project) which equals to about 100 bags of beans per offering. This means that only 100 subscriptions exist for this super rare coffee collection.

So what does that mean to you? I'm telling you to get yourself some phenomenal luxury coffee from an extraordinarily great coffee company AND help support coffee farmers with this incredible initiative.

Enjoy the amazing coffee!
